The Senior Development Officer reports to the Chief Development Officer. Manages a portfolio of assigned donors and prospects as part of a comprehensive major and planned giving program (gifts $10,000+) that is fully integrated into the overall development program. Responsible for contributing to program planning, implementation, and evaluation, including activities for identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of new and existing donors. Works closely with hospital President/CEO, vice presidents, members of the board of trustees, volunteers, and donors, as well as other hospital representatives. Coordinates with other development officers, prospect research associate and all members of the development team to ensure that strategies are in place to move the donors through the fundraising cycle to major gift levels. Bachelors degree in communication, related field, or equivalent experience. Demonstration of effective oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and computer skills is required. Two or more years of progressive experience in development and fundraising is preferred; major and planned giving experience desirable. Equal Opportunity Employer |
